STORY
Set over two days, A Love Story Set In Camden is a British rom-com set around the borough of Camden Town, in which we encounter Ben (Elliott McMillan), a photographer and Charlotte (Otilia Royer), a free-spirited artist who meet for a romantic first date off Tinder. The film follows the pair as they get to knoweach other, talk about previous relations and ultimately explore the true test of falling in love. Think a modern-day Notting Hill.

WHO WILL BENEFIT?
As a production, we have a strong intention for this film to have great success in the global film festivalcircuit. Our main aim is to qualify for next year’s Sundance Film Festival and BAFTA Film awards.
We are planning to shoot the film sometime in mid 2021, and pre-production is currently underway, with rehearsals and location scouting already taking place.
We want to use this film to show the world the great talent that the UK has for making romantic-comedies. I mean, when you look at just how well-known films such as Four Weddings and Notting Hill are, you just know we can make great films and I really feel like this idea, has such a target audience out there that why not make something for a market where you already know you can succeed.
With this funding, we’ll be able to cover all of production costs, allow both the cast and crew to be paid a professional wage and to make a film of not just a high-quality script, but also of high production values and to show what you can accomplish creatively, without the need for an incredibly high budget.
Specifically, the funding will mostly cost the principal-photography stages, from securing filming locations, to permits to be able to shoot around the Camden Town area. Also, we would be using some of the funding to secure a safe, controlled PPE environment for our cast and crew to work safely under the current circumstances.
ABOUT ME
I'm an award winning British film director, producer, screenwriter and editor. Graduate from Bournemouth University with a BA (Hons) in Television Production and a Masters in Directing Film & Television.
I have directed over sixteen short films including Empty and Pathfinder, which have both screened at the BFI Southbank and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Empty has also been screened at Picturehouse Cinemas in the United Kingdom. My films have been screened at over twenty film festivals worldwide, winning nine awards in the process. I am also an active YouTube partner; my channel where all of my work can be seen has gained over 15k+ subscribers and passed over 6.8 million views.
