A Lust For Life ‘Rising Challenge’

I co-founded A Lust for Life with the absolute belief that the best way to support our youth when it comes to their mental health is early interventions models of care.
It was born out of my own struggles and its driven by an immense group of people.
Our evaluated and evidence based programmes have now reached over 1000 primary schools in Ireland and is well on its way to reaching every primary school in Ireland by 2024. These programmes for totally free for schools. We work hard to make sure that is the case. This is how we truly make a difference.
We have to fund raise dynamically to achieve this. Which is why myself and some good friends and kind souls have taken on this huge challenge of kayaking the length of the River Shannon.
We have no kayaking experience. We just felt the metaphor of the river really mirrors life. There are some beautiful and calm parts, and there are rough and challenging parts. We intend starting at the source of the river on 30th June in Dowra and make our way to Limerick city just under King Johns castle on the 6th July. We will be joined along the way by some well known faces and there will be events in the towns and villages along the way where we will take to opportunity to reach out to local communities and share our work and message.
Your donations go a very long way and will contribute directly in getting these programmes into schools. I really appreciate your help. We need to support children and we need to do it now.
