A Marathon for Mum

Hi, my name is Barry Chambers and I am running the Dublin Marathon 2022, in memory of my Mum, Margaret Chambers, who sadly passed away on 23rd Sept 2020 after a long battle with Cancer. Throughout her illness she received excellent care and compassion from the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital Oncology Ward, and she asked me to fundraise, on her behalf, to repay their kindness.

In addition to this, I would like to support the work of Mr. Gerry Lane, retired ED Consultant & volunteer to the National Air Ambulance Service. Mr Lane voluntarily attends local emergencies in an Air Ambulance Car and I would like to help raise funds for the daily running costs of this invaluable service to the local community.

I would be very grateful for your support for these two very worthy causes and will endeavour to do my best on Marathon Day. Thank you for you support.
