A Marine trying stay a float

I am creating this fundraiser to help out a family near and dear to me and so many others. I am doing this on their behalf, with their blessing.
Scott and Julia have 4 amazing children, all of whom love school and their extracurricular activities. 3 and a half years ago a fire completely destroyed their home. Julia and the kids had left on a spring vacation, while Scott stayed home due to work obligations. He woke up to the smoke in the middle of the night and despite our best efforts, they lost everything. They had insurance, but it didn’t cover everything, certainly not replacing so many sports equipment and instruments that belonged to the kids.
Scott is a Desert Storm vet and has suffered from PTSD for years. The fire and watching everything be destroyed has exasperated his mental health condition and he was recently hospitalized for his own safety. His employer has been great with accommodating his absences, but with so many appointments for physical and mental health, he had already used up all of his PTO. This has meant quite a few very short paychecks.
Because of the fire, one of their children also has been diagnosed with PTSD and anxiety, feeling as though he could lose everything, including his family. It is sometimes debilitating and has also been a factor in both parents not having enough time off to cover all the medical appointments. The kids always come first.
Since the fire, they have been able to slowly rebuild their lives and overall things have returned to some semblance of normalcy. The home they purchased looked great, had plenty of space and within their budget. However, 2 different water lines in their home have busted causing thousands in repair bills that insurance has not covered.
The family is overwhelmed and bills are piling up between home repairs, medical cost and even groceries. I am hoping that this fundraiser can provide them with help to get back on track and relieve some of the burden, both mentally and financially.
I know times are tough for everyone, but anything will truly be a blessing, including extra prayers! Thank you all!
