A memorial bench for Ulee. In Vancouver.

Our dearest Ulee loved to get up at the crack of dawn (often earlier) and walk along Kitsilano beach. She loved mornings. She loved the beach. She loved the Vancouver skyline. She loved Vancouver. She loved Canada. She loved her friends, her family, and her community.

We lost Ulee on March 26th, 2022. Let us raise the funds for a Vancouver Park Board bench in her name, and request that it be placed near Kits beach.

Ulee was born in Iran, raised in Germany, educated in Germany and Canada, and lived and worked here in Vancouver. 

She was proud of her PhD, had a love of the arts, architecture, yoga, cooking, and spending time with friends. Her big, inviting smile, and her youthful enthusiasm left a mark on everyone she met. She loved sharing her knowledge, and was at ease speaking in front of the camera or in person in front of hundreds. 
We cannot believe she is gone. 

This fundraiser is organized by those closest to her: Rania and Daniel. If we reach our goal, any additional monies raised will go toward a scholarship in her name.
