My House Burned Down & I Lost Everything!

This was my house in New Orleans, that I just bought 14 months ago and just finished remodeling 4 days before it burned down on Monday, May 20th by a mentally ill kid.
I lost Everything! I am completely heartbroken!
I lowered the donation amount requested. I received monies directly to help me rebuild.

I choose New Orleans because It was impossible to buy a house in Los Angeles, so I was happy to buy in my other hometown, New Orleans, Louisiana where my mother grew up. It was my dream to buy a home and fix it up to its original era. This house was a New Orleans Creole Cottage and historic. I worked on it for 14 months and used all locally sourced, original, antique building materials and finishes.
The funds will go for excavating the damage, making it safe to inhabit in order to rebuild, permits to rebuild, supplies and labor to rebuild.
