A mission to support Sarah Keatley & Family

Donation protected
Many of you know Sarah and her family the Keatley’s. Some may know her story, others may not.

Sarah grew up and has been a local here her whole life. She married Shannon Keatley and together they have two wonderful children, Carter and Cassie. Sarah is a registered nurse specializing in obstetrics and may have helped deliver some of your children. She also taught college nursing courses for years.

In September of 2017 Sarah received the news that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. After the initial shock and without wasting time, she began the long and although necessary, horrible, treatments. Surgery, chemo, radiation. During her corse of treatments she had complications and set backs  but she fought like the warrior she is to over come them.

In December 2018 we were told she had beat this monster of a disease and we began to relax. But it wasn’t over..

She began to suffer from what she believed to be side effects from the Chemo. Sick for months and only getting worse, she sought help and what doctors should have seen, they did not. Sarah suffered terribly with very little to no release from the pains of a monster no one could see.

April 23, 2019 it was finally discovered that the source of all her pain would be the cancer she thought she was free and safe from. It had now metastasized, or spread, to her liver.

This devastating news came of course as a shock and has rocked Sarah, her family, and friends. While Sarah is now being properly treated for her pain and suffering, friends and family are coming together to help take care of her.

In the midst of her entire battle up until now, she was discharged from her position, and denied benefits that were and are desperately needed. Because of this her mortgage payments and bills have fallen behind.

She worries now about the mortgage and needs of her family. Sarah wants to make sure that Shannon and the children will not suffer the additional loss of losing their family home or endure financial hardships.

Sarah has touched the hearts of so many, and has been there in our times of need, time and time again. She has donated to our causes, has been a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, a partner in crime, a voice of reason, or whatever she knew was needed. It’s our turn and chance to show her our support, and give back in one of the best ways possible.
