It is with a heavy heart that I share an update on my health. On August 6th, my doctors delivered the devastating news that my Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma has progressed from stage 3 to now being deemed incurable. This was a blow that no words can truly capture, but I remain committed to fighting for every moment I can with my children.

Despite this news, my treatment journey is far from over. I am still determined to pursue the promising treatment option in Mexico. I will be traveling to Tijuana for this treatment on Monday, August 12th. Your outpouring of generosity and support over these past few months has been a beacon of hope during this incredibly challenging time.

On April 5, 2024, my life took a drastic turn. Until that day, I was working full-time as a counselor at the South Queensland Correctional Facility in West End, Brisbane. Following my daughter Prayer in her promising rugby league career as being awarded a scholarship and contract in the Gold Coast Titans Future Academy. My days were filled with the rewarding work of helping others and the joy of playing rugby union, touch football, and engaging in CrossFit. My greatest joy, however, came from being a mother to my six beautiful children, aged 23 to 5.

Everything changed when I was diagnosed with Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma, stage 3. This rare and aggressive cancer affects only 1% of people, and in my case, it has formed an inoperable tumor on my left psoas muscle. My oncologists have given me only months to live.

The thought of leaving my children behind is unbearable. I want to be there to guide them, support them, and celebrate their milestones. I am determined to fight this cancer with everything I have, and for that, I need your help.

I have discovered a promising treatment option in Mexico that is not available in Australia or New Zealand. This treatment offers a glimmer of hope, a chance to extend my time with my children and improve my quality of life. However, the cost of this treatment is $40,000, a sum that is beyond my means.
