A museum without walls celebrating Caribbean heritage

Museumand, The National Caribbean Heritage Museum is a museum and more, dedicated to preserving Caribbean history, heritage and culture and celebrating the Caribbean contribution to the UK.
As a social history and community museum, we’re raising funds to support and extend our work around the UK to make sure the Caribbean contribution to life in Britain is understood, shared and celebrated.
As an all-female, Black-owned, Black-led, independent heritage organisation, we create unique and compelling exhibitions, events and resources exploring and celebrating Caribbean history, heritage and culture – from its earliest roots in the stories of Africa and the original inhabitants of the Caribbean, to the stories of Caribbeans living in the UK today - the Windrush Generation and their descendants.
We’re a museum without walls working throughout the UK and wherever we go, we make sure our work is original, creative, accessible and truly collaborative. We work alongside communities to share their stories and make sure people not only have a voice, but can create and contribute to their own cultural heritage.
By working with a range of institutions, including national museums, galleries, libraries and universities, we make sure that community-led Black Culture reaches a wide audience and becomes part of a more representative, inclusive, collaborative notion of shared British history and cultural heritage.
All the funds we raise will go to support our work and help to celebrate the Caribbean contribution to life in the UK. As an independent organisation, we are currently self-funded and sometimes receive small grants or partner funding for individual projects. With your support we can expand our work to champion community-led Black culture throughout the UK and beyond.
Thank you for your support.
