A Neighbor in Need: Save Burgerama

Did you ever have a dream? Something that seemed so crazy and out of reach that you just gave up before trying? Two extraordinary women defied the odds, faced their fears and created something remarkable in a tiny kitchen, inside a tiny restaurant, with a big sign that says “Burgerama”.
Burgerama is the best place to get burgers in LA, and we're not the only ones saying it. Chef Steph has been featured on KTLA and the restaurant made it on Yelp's top 100 places to Eat list. (#4th spot nation-wide!) She has a real passion for great food and making connections with people.
At Burgerama, the moment you walk in those doors, you become family. Chef Steph, and her wife Val, greet each customer, providing the best service despite the exhaustion of working long hours in a sweltering kitchen. When they're not working, Chef Steph and Val are giving back to their community. They feed the homeless and those in need when they have the supplies to do so. They even went so far as to close Thanksgiving day to prepare and serve a free hot meal to the community. When they didn't run out, they took the food to the streets in search of those who needed it.
The Burgerama family exemplify what it means to be hard working, passionate, and charitable. But now they need our help. This Pandemic has been hard on everyone, especially the small businesses that make our communities so great to be part of.
We would like to raise $10,000 for them to do what is needed to continue running Burgerama. It could be finding a new location, purchasing a food truck, or keeping them afloat through the year 2021.
We as a community see their vision, feel their passion, and our hearts break at the thought that Chef Steph and Val might have to close their doors for good. What good is NoHo without Burgerama and those amazing burgers? People like Chef Steph, Val, and their family deserve the same kindness they've shown us.
They have given their community so much, and we think its time we give back to them.
