A neonatal department for St. Kizito Hospital
Donation protected
Dear all!
From February next year I will be undertaking a 10-week voluntary medical placement at St. Kizito Hospital in Mikumi, Tanzania. This hospital, located in the heart of Tanzania hundreds of kilometers away from the nearest big cities, is in desperate need of a good neonatal department. In the last few years they have built a new school for nurses and midwives, where training will be provided to increase the level of care. However, to give these little newborns a good chance at life, not only well trained staff but also equipment is needed. Unfortunately this comes at a high cost... Any contribution to help achieve this important goal would be much appreciated!
I will be working in different departments within the hospital but aim to spend the majority in the maternal and neonatal ward (as this is my medical field of interest). Therefore, this cause resonates with me deeply. I feel like every human on this planet deserves a chance at the start of life and these little ones need a bit more help than others. A (little) contribution would help to make this goal reality and I would be more than grateful for that!
(The money raised by this funding action will be transfered in full to "Friends of Mikumi Foundation" who handle all the donations and corresponding actions of St. Kizito Hospital)
