CARINA network - supporting female aid workers

At the beginning of 2023, we see the constantly deteriorating news about the situation for women in Afghanistan. What we do not see in the media is how women continue to demonstrate extraordinary courage and resilience in challenging the Taliban’s harsh rule.

The CARINA network is fundraising for its first project: a book club in Herat!

What the project wants to achieve:

1. Serve as a catalyst for social-emotional support by providing a place

where women can express empathy, understanding, and regain healthy

connections.

2. Provide a forum for women to flex their intellectual muscles by reading,

discussing, and debating in a safe group setting.
