Help a new American family begin their life!

Donation protected
Hello - my name is Matt Carpenter. I am seeking help for my former combat interpreter, and friend, Mohammad Essa Adeeb as he seeks to rebuild his life nearby, in Northeast Ohio, after having finally been granted an American visa. Essa risked everything to support the American combat mission in Afghanistan, and lost it all as a result.

For nearly a decade, Essa stood shoulder to shoulder with American infantrymen, navigating treacherous terrains, translating vital information, and becoming an indispensable part of our mission - often, under direct enemy fire. His bravery and dedication earned him our respect and admiration, and he quickly became a trusted friend and confidant.

When the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan in 2021, Essa's world was turned upside down. The imminent threat of persecution and violence forced him to flee his beloved homeland in May of that year, leaving behind his family and friends with a heavy heart.

After a ten year wait (Essa began this process long before being forced to leave his home) and relentless efforts and outreach from friends to secure the elusive Special Immigrant Visa (SIV), Essa finally received the news that would transform his life: his application had been approved. Nearly fifteen years after his life-altering decision to serve alongside American troops, Essa and his family were finally on the path to freedom - and a new life.

Today, Essa and his family stand on the threshold of a new chapter, one filled with hope, anticipation, and the promise of a life free from fear, and perpetual violence. They are eager to start afresh in the United States, a land that represents opportunity, safety, and the very ideals that Essa fought to defend.

However, the journey ahead is not without its challenges. Essa and his family will need financial assistance to resettle in the United States, find housing, obtain employment, and adapt to a new culture, language, and everyday pace of life. In fact, Essa and his family will receive no government assistance at this time - relying on all of us to help them start, instead.

America is the only home Essa has left, now. Let's all help welcome this American hero and support getting his life started over. All funds will immediately be distributed directly to Essa and his family so that they can begin to move forward, purchase flights, and begin to rebuild.

On behalf of myself, the American combat advisors from Ohio that worked with him, and the many multi-national soldiers that have worked alongside Essa throughout the war in Afghanistan - thank you for helping.
