Unity for Gaza: Supporting Akram's Family's Journe

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I’m reaching out on behalf of Akram and his extended family, who have endured immense hardship following the Gaza-Israel conflict. Recently, they escaped to Egypt, where they seek refuge amidst the devastation of war.

We are a family of nine members, each facing the challenges of rebuilding our lives. Sadia Obied, 94 years old, is the beloved grandmother. Ayman Akram Elkhoudary and Hala Mohamed Shehab are the parents, navigating the complexities of providing for their children amid uncertainty. Akram Ayman Elkhoudary, Yasmin Naem Abu Ghanima (Akram’s wife), Adam Akram Elkhoudary (Akram’s son born in Egypt), Ashrakat Ayman Elkhoudary, Ehab Ayman Elkhoudary, and Mohammed Ayman Elkhoudary complete the family, each with their own dreams and aspirations.

Our Journey:
In the recent conflict, our homes were destroyed, leaving us in a dire situation. Akram’s parents had devoted decades to building their home, while his own new home, just 11 months old, was tragically demolished. This war not only left physical ruins but shattered the dreams of two generations.

Facing Challenges:
In the midst of chaos, Yasmin gave birth to their child, Adam, amidst the destruction. Since leaving on October 7th, we’ve sought refuge in Egypt, grappling with unemployment and financial strain. Each member of our family paid $5000, and collectively we spent $40,000 just to cross Egypt. Nevertheless, we find ourselves in the fourth month of living here, still striving to regain stability. Your support can help provide essentials and temporary shelter. A portion of the donations will be allocated to renting homes for both Akram’s and Ayman’s families. Additionally, funds will go towards aid efforts to provide food, clothing, and medical supplies to families affected by the conflict. We also aim to explore educational and employment opportunities to help rebuild our lives.

Once the war ends and we can safely return to Gaza, the remaining funds will be dedicated to reconstructing our homes. Your support now will ensure that we have the means to rebuild and restart our lives once we return to our homeland.

Your Support Makes a Difference:
Your generosity can help rebuild our family’s lives. Donations will go towards reconstructing our homes, providing essentials for the newborn, and assisting us in starting anew after this devastating war. Additionally, funds will be allocated to renting homes for both Akram’s and Ayman’s families, ensuring they have a safe and stable place to live during this difficult time.
