A New Dental Assisting Program Seeking Funds

My name is Dr. Deborah Bush-Munson. For 16 years, I directed the St. Louis Community College Dental Assisting Program. Recently, I founded the Unflexing Institute, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to help students from diverse backgrounds gain access to the dental and medical professions.

I am writing to share an exciting new initiative that needs your support. The Unflexing Institute is launching a new dental assisting program at the Family Care Health Center. This federally qualified health center (FQHC) is located at 4352 Manchester Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110. The dental assisting program, which is set to begin in Fall 2025, will offer hybrid/online courses, making it accessible for working adults.

To make this program a reality, your assistance is needed. We are currently raising funds to cover the costs of establishing the dental assisting program, including equipment, curriculum development, subsidies for students, and general operational expenses.
