A New Heart, A New Life. Please Help.

Our friend Trish Rosiak is an amazing woman. She is a single mother to two wonderful children, one of whom is still a High School teenager, and two wonderful Grandchildren whom she loves and adores to no end.

On June 27, 2016, Trish’s life was put on a challenging road. She was experiencing shortness of breath and went to the Emergency Room. The initial diagnosis was that she had cardiomyopathy. Her heart was not pumping enough blood throughout the body and was only working at 10% of capacity. It is believed to be hereditary and turned out to be a genetic heart disease that would control and limit her life for the next seven and a half years.

A couple of years ago the disease had progressively gotten worse and an LVAD had to be installed into her chest to assist her heart in pumping the blood through her body. This however was a temporary solution until a suitable donor heart could be found.

The search for a suitable donor heart was a rollercoaster of emotions for Trish and her friends and family. Every day was filled with anticipation and anxiety, wondering if a match would be found in time. It was a waiting game that tested their patience and faith.

Then, on December 5, 2023, the call finally came. A donor heart had become available, and Trish was next in line. The excitement and relief were palpable as Trish was rushed to the hospital to prepare for the life-changing surgery.

The surgical team worked tirelessly through the night, and as the first light of dawn painted the sky, Trish emerged from the operating room with a new heart beating strong within her chest. The transplant was a success after 10 hours in the operating room and by the grace of a loving God, a lot of prayers, and a miraculous job by her surgical team. Trish was given another chance at life. A chance to see her daughter continue to grow up, to see her Grandchildren develop, and to continue to watch her family grow.

Here is the appeal, her insurance does not cover some of the medications that she will need post transplant and can be costly.

Solumedrol, Cellcept, Prograf, and Thymoglobulin are just some of the medications that she has been told she will need not only now but long term if not for the remainder of her life.

She needs help right now, friends and family are assisting but she also financial assistance to cover medical expenses and costs of medications for her to continue on her journey of living a full life.

Any amount will help and be greatly appreciated by Trish and her family as it will be needed and put to very good use. Thank you in advance to all those who are able to assist this amazing woman. For anyone who is unable to assist financially, please keep Trish and her family in your prayers.
