A New NTEU Campaign Fund

Our university sector is under unprecedented attack, made worse by the pandemic. Our workplaces are increasingly fragmented, we are working longer hours, working harder, and we don’t have control over how our work is done.

 

We need to fight back - together. A well organised and powerful union that facilitates workers to leverage their enormous and largely untapped collective power is the only solution.

 

We need transparency and democracy to restore trust of workers in the NTEU. Only then can the union grow and achieve the ends that our universities so desperately need.

 

The NTEU could be this union. That is why a New NTEU is running for national leadership roles in the upcoming elections. Anastasia Kanjere for General Secretary, Fahad Ali for President and Andrew Beitzel for General Assistant Secretary. We are rank-and-file members who believe a powerful union is built on genuine solidarity - solidarity that crosses the academic-professional university staff divide, and extends to students and unions of workers in other sectors across the country.

With your support, we will use all funds raised to support the following campaign activities (these are estimated amounts, however, we will provide regular updates with actual totals throughout the campaign).

All funds will be deposited into the account of our campaign finance manager Bernard Keo, who will distribute funds accordingly (we will provide regular updates on this).
