A New Sign for St. Timothy's

The Parish of St. Timothy, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada is the Anglican Church serving North West Burnaby. It provides opportunities to connect with God, with one another, and with the wider community. Individuals – of all ages – are encouraged to grow spiritually through regular worship, study, learning, service, conversation, sharing meals, and times of silence. The important work of spiritual connection and growth is matched by a commitment to reach out with practical support to our neighbours. This appeal is for a new sign. The City of Burnaby revoked its prior approval and required us to remove our original signage in 2013 after more than 45 years of use, and consequently we have not had adequate external signage for some years. Our site is on the corner of a busy street by a newly developed Linear Park for pedestrian and cyclist traffic. While the Church is visible to all foot and vehicle traffic, there is no effective way to communicate services, activities, fundraisers, concerts, or whether the Church is actually open and vibrant (it is). Accordingly, we have contracted to build new, illuminated signage that will be visible to all who pass by. We are calling upon the global community to support our fund-raising campaign for this project.
