A new smile for Clem

My name is Clem and I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with leukemia in January 2009 and I had a bone marrow stem cell transplant in August 2012. I developed Graft vs Host Disease (GVHD) which is a common complication of this type of transplant. The affected areas were my skin, my eyes and my mouth. I also developed allergies to a lot of medications and severe dryness of eyes and mouth. In 2014 my teeth started falling out until I had to have the rest surgically removed in August 2015. Due to the GVHD I get sores periodically in my mouth, therefore I cannot get dentures that sit on my gums. Instead the UCLA doctors say I should get permanent implants to avoid infections and further irritations in my mouth. I am raising money for this procedure. It's been more than 2 years without teeth and I am very malnutritioned because my diet is very limited. I need this financial help as soon as possible so l can begin treatment. Once I can eat properly and become stronger, I want to go back to work and I hope to help other people like I have been helped. I managed to get help for my eyes the first year but the Prose lenses I need to provide moisture to my eyes are not covered by my insurance and it's been difficult to come up with the funds. For the foreseeable future I drive 150 miles round trip for skin treatments 3 times per week and I need help with gas money. This is not a short treatment period, so the sooner I start the better it is for my all around recovery.
