A Nurse ready to win her own battle

Having survived domestic violence, 14 years ago, I didn’t know that I would have to fight another battle internally. Hi, my name is Millie, I am a registered nurse, and I have the possibility of having cancer.

In the last 39 years of life I have fought more battles than one could imagine, helped patients in their time of need and have held family members as they passed from cancer.

A few weeks ago I got diagnosed with multiple masses that could potentially be endometrial carcinoma. First thing that crossed my mind is what will happen to my son if something happens to me. Being a single mother it’s scary thought.

Now having to have surgery this month for a total hysterectomy to find out if my masses are malignant is nerve wracking to wrap my brain around.

Just seeing my son turn 14 and going in to high school, this year meeting the love of my life and hoping to get married soon.. my only dream is to not just be alive to see my life become a dream come true but to actually LIVE it and LOVE it.

This fundraiser will help me pay for the surgery so that I can move on to the next phase of this health situation. Being a nurse that has always given it’s never easy to be the one who now needs the help. prays are needed the most.
