A Penny in your thoughts...

Penny Iwaszko is an incredible woman, friend, employee and mother. Penny was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Goblet Cell Adenocarcinoma. This is a rare disease which started in Penny’s appendix and quickly moved to her ovaries, colon and lymph nodes. Penny has been through surgeries, multiple infections, lengthy hospital stays and will be starting chemotherapy soon. Penny has been unable to work due to the physical toll on her body, unpredictable scheduling of surgeries, treatments, doctor visits and simply being unable to endure work. She and her family have a long and scary road ahead of them. It is especially difficult for her 16-year-old daughter, who is the center of Penny’s world. Penny never misses an opportunity to talk about her daughter and how proud she is of her. Izabelle – known to all as “Izzie”, is a fulltime high school student who is working as a waitress in a local restaurant trying to help out her family financially. This is not something a teenager should have to experience and endure. Please help Penny and her family as they make their journey down this incredibly difficult path.
