A piano that works for Coffee Creek

Help the women at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility STAND UP for a piano on its LAST LEGS!
OUR FAITHFUL DIGITAL PIANO IS FALLING APART!
The piano that has served the prison has finally bit the dust! This piano has served countless religious meetings, concerts, and even provided inmate to inmate piano lessons. Our Spring concert is approaching and we have no reliable musical accompaniment.
Coffee Creek Correctional Facilty is located in Wilsonville, Oregon where the prison chapel is the scene of countless joyful activities. We volunteer each week leading a choir where the women present three concerts a year to their fellow inmates.
For each concert, we bring in members of the community to join our choir. It is a wonderful connection between the locals and our neighbors here at Coffee Creek.
We sing everything from Bach to Beachboys and play it on guitar, flute and of course- a piano.
The funds we raise will be used to buy a digital piano (as required by prison security measures) that will be for the use of ALL groups who use the chapel at Coffee Creek.
Our goal is to debut the piano at the Spring Concert this April.
Music is an amazing force for good in the correctional institution setting. Choir is a time for creating relationships and developing skills of working and achieving goals as a group. The Spring, Summer and Christmas concerts are presented to a packed house of their fellow inmates. It is a time of joy for all who attend.
Your contribution will be a show of support for the power of music. Every group and every activity that meets in the chapel will find joy as they use the piano for their meetings. And, if you're in town, consider volunteering to sing with us for one of our concerts. It is an unforgettable experience to join with the fabulous women of Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.
