Lewis is finally allowed to have a visitor once a day which will be his sister Jade Roberts. Lewis is progressing every single day. He is now listening to commands by squeezing your hand and releasing it when asked to. We are so so so proud of Lewis! Thankyou so much to everyone for all your love and support.
Lewis' Story
On March 13th 2021 Lewis had suffered catastrophic head injuries when he was struck by a van in his home town Leek. After being flown to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Four days later on March 17th the doctors broke the news to our family that nothing more could be done as he'd unfortunately suffered a "Brain stem death" and sadly passed away. After saying our goodbyes to Lewis, close family bravely agreed for his organs to be donated to help 7 other peoples lives- buying lewis extra time before his life support machine was turned off.
Just hours before Lewis' surgery, he began to breathe again on this own. A miracle any family could wish for after being told he was given a zero chance of pulling through. After this lewis had carried on progressing. He has started to react to pain tests, moving limbs on his own and also moving his head side to side, blinking and also moving his mouth. Everyday this boy is getting stronger.
As many people have asked to send money for a pint for Lewis, setting up a 'GoFundMe' would be easier. Any money that is sent will be for Lewis when he is home and back on his feet. We would just like to say as a family, Thankyou so much and we are very grateful for everyones prayers and best wishes for Lewis.
