A Purpose Driven Lemonade Stand

My name is Kenyea, mother of Kennedi (Lil Sis) age 4, and God-mother of Dana (Big Sis) age 10.
2 Little Sista's, with 2 Big Goals!
Goal #1 is to raise money to start and form a non-profit called "The Perfect Rainbow: Support, Education & Resources to weather the perfect storm" That perfect storm happens to be Type 1 Diabetes, in which Kennedi was diagnosed with at the early age of just under 2 years old. Since July 26, 2021, we have dealt with the harsh reality that we wake up every day and save Kennedi's life! It has been a roller coaster of emotions, learning, making mistakes, learning from them, and growing. This has impacted our family tremendously, even Dana who on her way with her dad to buy Halloween costumes, saw a wishing-well-like water fountain with pennies in it. She asked her dad if she could make a wish, he gave her some coins, she closed her eyes, made a wish and threw the coins in the fountain. After purchasing their costumes and walking back to the car, Dana's dad asked her what did she wish for? She answered, "I wish that Kennedi's disease would just go away". At 8 years old, and out of all the things she could've wished for, it was for her sister to not have Type 1 diabetes. Talk about a sister's love! With all that we have experienced fighting this horrible disease, we can only imagine what others have gone through and are going through and as a family, we want to help!
Goal #2 is to raise money for the completion of 2 Little Sista's: The Ultimate Lemonade Stand, A Beverage, Ice Cream, and Snack Truck! What started out as a typical kids lemonade stand, turned into A Lemonade Stand/Truck with A Purpose! They are both excited to be business owners but also wanted to put a percentage of their proceeds towards the non-profit. Once Goal #1 is met, a continued percentage of their business proceeds will go directly to The Perfect Rainbow. But back to Goal #2.. in support of our girls' desire to expand.. we invested our savings into a used ice cream truck, gradually purchasing equipment, a soft serve ice cream machine, a Hawaiian icee machine, a slush machine, two four-part drink dispensers, a popcorn machine, a commercial refrigerator, and a serving window. We trusted a local food truck fabricator to install these items to code and while they met half of their commitment which was to install these items, they failed on the side of installing them to code. To make matters worse, our truck's catalytic converters were stolen from the truck while in their possession. We had the truck inspected by another food truck fabricator who made us aware that in the current condition of the truck, although it looked good to the eye, it would not pass inspection. Also, the current generator that came with the truck was not enough alone to power the equipment that we had purchased and paid the previous fabricator to install. Talk about Life giving us lemons... We decided to keep supporting our daughters and they decided to keep making more lemonade!
2 Little Sista's are currently undefeated and still raising money towards these goals, however, your support, donation, and share would be greatly appreciated. Your support will not only help us purchase the generator and any other expenses to become legally and fully operational, but also enable us to officially launch our non-profit. This organization is close to our hearts and will allow us to give back in meaningful ways!
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to making this dream a reality. Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us power up for a brighter future.
