Art for Relaxation Therapy (ART)

A.R.T. - Art for Relaxation Therapy is an organization that provides ART Packs to young patients in hospitals to 'Bring joy  through ART to those in need".

ART's 2019 goal is to supply 300+ ART packs to encourage and assist young patients with relaxation and finding their inner peace when faced with an illness or traumatizing injury during their hospital stay. ART has also created a custom ART Bag for Children's Hospital Los Angeles and is partnering with CHLA on a custom ART Bag program.

Young patients can cope with emotions and stress by ART giving them an outlet to communicate their response to the situation as well as let their imagination soar. 

I have been creating art since I was 5 and am now a Senior in High School. I'm fortunate to be able to create art everyday as I am a student at a well established art high school.  I know first hand the importance that art has played in my life and want to bring the experience to kids in need. 

I believe that  A.R.T. can be a freeing experience and I want to bring joy and peace through ART!  Included in the ART Pack, a personal note from me explaining a few simple techniques and words of encouragement. ART has recently partnered with Children's Hospital Orange County to create a custom ART Lesson program. I am so excited about all the amazing opportunities for ART and it's recipients and you can take pART today to help too!

The ART Pack consists of:
A personal note from me including simple techniques
A small box to hold all supplies
1 small pad of art paper
2 pencils
4 color pencils
4 color markers
1 small water color set with brush
2 paint brushes
1 pencil sharpener
1 small eraser
1 sheet of stickers
1 special keepsake

Eventually I would like to expand the packs to focus on young children and teenagers independently. But for now I would just love to get these packs into the hands of young patients so they can experience relaxation through ART. 

My goal is almost reached for delivery of 300+ ART Packs & 100+ ART Bags in 2019.  My goal for 2020 is 400+ ART Packs. This is an ongoing campaign without an end date. The more I raise the more ART Packs I can donate!!!
