Red Rose Animal Rescue Hoarding Animal Situation

Red Rose Animal Rescue is a fledgling, tiny rescue based in rural Washington (Rochester), where community cat colonies run into the hundreds of cats that are allowed to breed unchecked as well as spread manageable diseases and infections with no end in sight. We are currently facing multiple significant vet bills ($$$), on top of our constant spay/neuter, vaccine, and medical needs for our rescued kittens and adult cats.

****Updating you that Red Rose is now handling a hoarding situation. We are bringing in 20-30 dogs in horrid conditions. They lived their lives in kennels. Years sitting in the mud in a 5 by 5 foot kennel. Those were the lucky ones. Some were tied to walls of barns. Dogs are coming in, not knowing how to walk. The dogs are unsocial. Every single dog incoming will need a vet visit. Every dog will need vaccines, a spay or neuter, and time with fosters learning how to be dogs. All this care is expected to be in the thousands of dollars range. We have two possible broken legs, abscesses, and skin conditions. Likely tumors, to name a few things. I urgently need help to get these dogs the medical care they need. We also have up to 40 cats incoming. They are in better condition and will probably only need vaccines, spays and neuters. But still, all that costs money.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to cover the most immediate needs for medical issues before the end of the year. We are working on grant funding and have support from the community. Still, there is an immediate and urgent need for medical help for multiple dogs and cats that would otherwise die a miserable death without medical care.
