A revert who has recently come out of prison

Asalamualaikum. A man approached me outside of Ilford train station and asked me if we could have a chat (at midnight) he told me that he reverted to Islam whilst he was in prison and he’s now very knowledgeable mash’Allah. He told me that his parents have died and his family have abandoned him because he is now muslim, and this has left him homeless. He told me about how a woman helped him and gave him a cheap smart phone from her husband’s phone shop. He asked me if any masjids will be open for him to sleep in and he hasnt slept in 3 days. His faith in Allah is the strongest i have seen Allahuma barik. He told me that no mosque has helped him and that upset me a lot because the ummah should look out for one another as muslims. He told me he feels ashamed to go to mosques because he hasnt showered or changed his clothes since he has been released from prison and feels ashamed to enter mosques in that state. One thing that touched me is that he said he could go back to his life before islam and make haram money but he would rather have nothing than disobey Allah, Allahuka barik.
