Rising Tide Tampa Bay
Donation protected
The COVID-19 pandemic has already devastated many parts of the Tampa Bay community, forcing beloved local restaurants to close and lay off countless workers, and putting the most vulnerable in harm's way. It's times like these where we need to come together as a community and raise each other up.
With this in mind, the Melendi family decided to start Rising Tide Tampa Bay. 100% of the funds donated by community members like you will directly purchase meals from locally-owned restaurants that are delivered to the heroes and victims in our community, including hospital workers, police and fire fighters, and the homeless. Not only will this help keep businesses afloat, but it will also support Tampa residents who need it the most. We have already served more than 500 frontline workers from 8+ local restaurants (details below).
- April 3: Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (60 lunches from Forbici)
- April 6: Hillsborough Hope (100 breakfasts from Swann Avenue Deli)
- April 7: Tampa Police Department District 1 (65 lunches from Forbici)
- April 8: Morton Plant North Bay Hospital nurses (20 lunches from El Cerrito)
- April 9: Tampa General Hospital lab workers (75 breakfasts from Datz/ Dough)
- April 10: Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (65 lunches from Carmine's)
- April 12: Fire Stations 1 and 3 (25 Easter lunches from 4Rivers)
- April 13: Seniors in need (35 meals from Height's Seafood Co. and 5 emergency kits from Swann Avenue Deli)
- April 14: Tampa Police Department District 1 (65 lunches from Forbici)
- April 15: Fire Stations 1 and 3 (25 dinners from Mott & Hester)
- April 16: Memorial Hospital (50 breakfasts from Oxford Exchange)
