A Safe Home for Adam & Meech: Urgent Housing & Legal Fund

My friend Adam and his service dog Meech are facing a housing crisis after experiencing severe discrimination. In fact I recently learned they were staying in storage unit with no heat or power with temperatures around 0 degrees. What started as wrongful termination from his hotel job in December 2023 has spiraled into a devastating chain of events:

- Lost his apartment due to missed work and unpaid wages

- Faced ongoing harassment and discrimination at multiple hotels

- Had his belongings stolen when forcibly removed from temporary housing

- Currently being denied accommodation at local hotels due to having Meech

- Unable to secure new employment due to the mental health impact

- Legal help is delayed until February 2025 (EEOC intake)

Adam and Meech are now nearly homeless, sleeping wherever they can safely rest, with only a few bags of clothes to their name. Meech, who is perfectly behaved and essential for Adam's disability, has become a target for discrimination despite federal protections.
