A scholarship in the name of Isaac Moses Lopez

My name is Bryan Stapleton and I am writing this on behalf of my nephew Isaac Moses Lopez who passed away on November 8, 2023 at the age of 21 from a car accident. The Lopez family asked me to write this for them in the hopes of raising money, not for funeral costs, but to create a scholarship in Isaac’s name that will help young people who are interested in a career in automotive technology realize their dream.

From a young age, Isaac demonstrated a passion for baseball which he played through his childhood and into High School. It wasn't until he attended Mr. Reeves' Career Technology Education class (CTE) at Will C. Wood High School that Isaac became passionate about cars. Isaac loved it so much that he recently had met with Mr. Reeves to express to him the impact that his class had on him and that it helped shape where he wanted to take his career into the future. Mr. Reeves challenged Isaac to come back to his class and share with the students that passion and talk about the journey he had taken after graduation from high school. Sadly, Isaac did not get that chance to share. However, the Lopez family wants to share Isaac's journey through this fundraiser and ensure that a scholarship exists in his name so it can help those individuals who would like to take the same path that Isaac wanted to.

Those who knew Isaac will remember him for his contagious smile that can be found in every picture that he took and his love for his 1997 Chevrolet Z71 truck "Big Bertha!"

The family is still overwhelmed with emotion as we grieve the loss of our beloved Son, Grandson, Brother, Nephew, Cousin and friend. Isaac will be deeply missed by all who knew him. While we are grieving his loss, we are also celebrating his life and all the lives he will profoundly affect with this scholarship.

Isaac embraced life with open arms, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. His love for life, family and friends will forever be remembered.
