A short film inspired by dad's battle with glioblastoma

Hi everyone,
My name is Izzy, and I'm the writer/director of Brain Cancer is for P*$$ies!, an independent short film I’m creating through the FTVM department (film, television, media) at the University of Michigan. This project is deeply personal to me, as it draws from my own experiences with my father's battle with glioblastoma, a terminal brain cancer.
LOGLINE: A daughter’s TikTok videos documenting her father’s battle with brain cancer catapult them to internet fame, but as the line between reality and content blurs, she must confront the moral dilemma of exploiting his illness for online validation.
I'm fortunate to have a talented production team behind me, with guidance from screenwriting advisor Dan Shere. My sister, Emma Soden, will be taking on the lead role, which makes this project even more meaningful to us.
Unfortunately, the grants provided by the university won’t come through until after production is complete, so I’m asking for your support to help bring this film to life. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help us make this story a reality. Thank you so much for your generosity!
