A Special Bike for Bryn
This little guys mom was my first friend in Canada 21 years ago. Paula and I have been family ever since, both immigrants from the UK building our lives and raising kids with a lot of fun and also challenges along the way. When Bryn was born he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and then later diagnosed with severe Autism and Epilepsy. His special needs mean he is non verbal and requires full time care. Everyday living and things that kids would normally enjoy as simple as riding a bike is not as easy for Bryn especially more so in the current situations of lockdown etc and usual facilities that would help Bryn being closed.
He loves being outside and his mom has been saving to buy a custom made adaptive bike that will allow him to have a fun biking experience with his mom riding too so that he is safe. It’s been a tough few years for Paula she is a breast cancer survivor and to see how much she does to ensure Bryn has an amazing quality of Life is so inspirational. I feel helpless a lot of the time and just really wanted to do something for their beautiful family. This would be a dream come true, such an amazing gift yet so simple that would have an incredible impact to make their lives easier. Every amount will help no matter how big or small. Please join me in helping Bryn ride a bike. I really hope I can share the video soon
The picture of Bryn on the bike is his first trial to see if he liked it before it’s made.......... he loved it!
