A Special Little Boy Needs Our Prayers

Hi everyone! There is a very special family that can use our help this Christmas. My son's best friend is Ryder Feeley. He is an energetic, sweet and incredibly brave six year old boy.
Ryder was experiencing frequent headaches so he was taken for an MRI on Tuesday, December 1st. The neurologist gave both Nicole (Mom) and Ronnie (Stepfather) devastating news. Ryder has a very large mass covering the entire left side of his brain. The MRI also displayed various, smaller masses which are located on the right side of his brain and also in Ryder's spinal fluid.
Following their discovery, the Neurologist immediately scheduled the 4-6 hour surgery to attempt to remove the large tumor that covers half of his brain. The doctors also planned on doing their best in removing the smaller masses in the surrounding areas. Ryder went in for surgery yesterday afternoon and is currently recovering in the ICU with Nicole and Ronnie, who have not left his side.
Doctors were able to remove most of the large tumor but the smaller ones remain. The plan moving ahead is to try and treat the remaining tumors with radiation and chemotherapy. At this stage, it is too early for the specialists to know whether or not the growths are cancerous. The radiation treatments are standard procedure following the type of surgery that Ryder has just endured.
Covid has shut down Ryder's school (again) about five weeks ago. I know that Nicole has had to change her work schedule from day to night shifts in order to help her son school at home. She also takes online college courses to finish her degree and is an active member in her son's elementary school . She is our classroom parent and a PTA member.
Ronnie has also been right by Ryder's side since Monday. He shares a special bond with him and takes care of Ryder as his own. Because none of this had been anticipated, I worry about the added financial stress this will bring to their family. I honestly can not stress enough how hard working both Nicole and Ronnie are. They are two very kind people who would do anything for anyone, no questions asked.
Finally, I was hoping that we could help help our special friends with; unexpected medical expenses that may not be covered by insurance, some monthly home expenses (as they will have to take a leave of absence from their jobs to care for Ryder in the ICU) and maybe a little extra for some Christmas Cheer during this incredibly stressful time for their family. Anything helps and I know that they will all be forever grateful!
Thank you for taking the time to read about our friends.
