A Sudden Loss: Helping Sophie and Jana

Hello, my name is Desiree, and I am starting this GoFundMe for Sophie and her mother, Jana, after the sudden and very unexpected passing of Sophie's dad, Mark Brennan. Sophie is an incredibly loved, funny, sassy, beautiful girl who was the absolute true love of her father.

Sometime in the early hours of November 2, 2024 Mark passed away after a text exchange between Jana and himself - they were sharing pictures and videos of Sophie as a baby and his last message to her was "I miss her alot" (Mark was about to fly out to a job in the Yukon). Mark was a loving father to his precious daughter, Sophie. Their bond was undeniable, filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished moments.

Jana, a dedicated and hardworking mother, has always prioritized Sophie's well-being. Together, they’ve faced life’s challenges with strength and resilience. However, this sudden loss has left them facing an uncertain future.

Mark’s absence has created a significant financial burden. The support he provided was crucial for covering essential expenses like food, rent, daycare, and activities. Without this, Jana will be struggling to make ends meet.
