A tribute for Gary Moore

Donation protected
Gary Moore was many things to many people; a coworker, father, husband, mentor, brother, or a friend.  Gone too soon.

I, along with many other kids, grew up with his children, playing in his home and eating their homemade bread.  I know many of you grew up with him and his beloved bride, Linda. They met in Excursion Inlet and their romance sparked almost half a century of marriage. Theirs is a love story for the ages.  After he retired from a lengthy career in the Alaska seafood industry, he spent his time in service to the community and with his family.

Gary Moore passed away suddenly June 13th, 2021 in California while visiting his daughter.  I’m reaching out now in hopes to help his family bring him home, lay him to rest, and give them a moment’s reprieve in what is the worst time for a family.  Time to try to sort out the logistics of death when it so unexpectedly comes.

I know that grief is a journey and takes time, and that the kindness of friends, family and those in the community around help buoy those drowning in grief until they may get a toe on the ground.  If you are able to assist Linda and the family I know they would be so very grateful.
