Kenya School trip to volunteer

Hi my name is Sam, I'm 12 yrs old and a young carer, which means I help support my parents to help look after my older two siblings who have special needs.

The school I attend have created a once in a lifetime opportunity for a small amount of children to go to Kenya with African adventures.

I'd really love the opportunity to go on this trip and be a volunteer within their partner schools to help deliver lessons and take my passion of playing sports to help teach the children new sports and football skills. Part of the programme of volunteering could also have the opportunity in helping to build new classrooms and ensure the children attending receive a free school meal something they may not get at home.

As part of the trip we as students are required to fundraise towards the cost of the trip as an individual and as a school group. The total cost will be around £2000 and anything extra I raise will be put towards buying them new equipment, and donations to charities who support children in Kenya.

This trip is something I wouldn't be able to do with my family and would welcome any donations to help me fundraise towards the costs of the trip to enable me to go and support children in Kenya on this trip of a lifetime not only will I be able to provide support but it will also give me an insight into the poverty and struggles other children my age go through within their life. As part of my fundraising I will also raise funds to buy items that the children would love to receive when out there and take them with me to hand out.
