A truck and supplies for Ukraine

Hi, my name is Kit Hogg. I am a tree surgeon and long time resident of Andalusia, Spain.

Inspired by the courage of a people in an existential struggle for survival, my partner Victorine - a horse lover and equine bodyworker - and I are taking a 4x4 pickup truck to Ukraine this September. The vehicle will be donated to the charity Cars for Ukraine. Our contact with this organisation is Ivan Oleksii, one of a number of volunteers in the Cars for Ukraine workshop in Lviv, who modify vehicles for use on the frontline.

Ours is by no means the first vehicle to be donated to Ukraine. I became aware of this possibility having listened to the podcast Battleground Ukraine on which Dr Richard Lofthouse spoke eloquently, having sourced and driven two vehicles to Ukraine from the UK.

Having spoken with Ivan we are looking at purchasing a pickup truck (not older than 2008) in good condition. He has also indicated the need for medical supplies, first aid etc. and clothing which we will bring in the vehicle.

Whilst making significant contributions ourselves, this venture would not be possible without some help via crowdfunding. If you are able to offer any, we would of course be extremely grateful.
