A True Angel - Jimetria Wright Memorial Fund

On October 24th, 2022, Jimetria Marchea Wright was fatally shot and killed on Detroit's west side. A small family gathering led to a fatal dispute over loud music and a lack of communication between two neighbors. At just 20 years old, Jimetria's life was cut short Monday morning by senseless, ongoing gun violence in Detroit, Michigan.

This situation is just one of many tragedies that have plagued the Black community, leaving loved ones devasted and lost in its aftermath. Jimetria leaves behind her loving mother, Tawana Wright, brother Jimmy "Beans" Wright, and significant other, Keon Pugh. As well as countless loved ones and pets.

Born on February 14th, 2002, Jimetria Marchea Wright is the youngest of two. Some of her many talents in which she excelled were singing, dancing, production, and acrylic nails. She enjoyed hanging out with all of her cousins, aunts, and nieces/nephews. Nicknamed "Shay Shay", Jimetria displayed the characteristics of a true angel by being her mother's backbone, and support system for loved ones. But most importantly, spreading unforgettable love. She was truly God's child. Last but not least, she aspired to become an entrepreneur by managing a Black-owned beauty parlor offering services catered specifically to Black women.

Due to this unforeseen event, our family is now faced with this burden on top of broken hearts. We want to give Jimetria the headstone she deserves that honors her and the loved ones she left behind. Every dollar amount is appreciated and It would mean a lot if you could share her fundraiser with others.
