A true love story never ends.. vicky and adams story!

My family requires your help.

This is my gran and papa on their wedding day in 1967 they have been married for 57 years. My papa has never left my grans side since the day they married, even when they’re sick they’re always by each others side. On Sunday 25th of August our gran, mum, wife our family glue took really unwell which resulted in her being blue lighted to the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Glasgow, Clydebank. She has had major cardio thoracic surgery (open heart surgery) to fix her aortic valve which tore open and because of this she was put into an induced coma and hasn’t woke up yet. It was against her strongest protests to be admitted and she swore she was only going if she was ‘in and out’ and only went if my papa could be with her.

For any normal person this would be a very scary operation, now think about this, our family glue is 77 and has been with my papa as stated for 57 years. It’s even more heartbreaking and painful to think they might have to spend this time apart.

The staff at the Golden Jubilee Hospital have been amazing and have helped keep them together but as you can imagine she will be here a while yet and hopefully once stable she can get get transferred back to the Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy but that can take months. We are asking for help to put my papa up somewhere close so that they can stay together, say goodnight and good morning to one another throughout her recovery and get them to their amazing diamond anniversary together.

We all know, or know someone where we could help or have helped and a little would help keep these two sweethearts together through this distressing time.
