A Vision for a Brownsville Garden

Hi,

My name is Vernice Walters and I am an urban gardener based in Ocean-Hill Brownsville. I began gardening in 2017. I love being a part of a community-oriented garden. The community is changing and places where everybody is welcome here.

I am excited to become a primary point person for the All About Brownsville Garden. The garden is in need of some TLC especially since the pandemic. I believe in land sovereignty, community programming and food justice for our communities.

These funds will sponsor a generator, a leaf blower, a metal drum barrel, wood paneling, a back fence and starter plants. Join me in making Brooklyn a greener place!
