A Way to Give Thanks

Donation protected
Do you feel thankful sometimes? If you’re looking for a way to express your thanksgiving and generosity in these seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, and want to join with me and others, here’s a way: A Way to Give Thanks

I'm Jerome, and I've been a lay missionary going back and forth to Ecuador for over 12 years, funded by my own resources and the support of generous collaborators. I call my effort Barriers to Bridges.

I accompany and live with people in poorer conditions of life here in Ecuador. While receiving so much, I offer collaborative assistance free of charge in the areas of spiritual and pastoral ministry, social and technical development, and language and cultural education.

Over the past nine years, I've carried out over 25 fundraisers joined with local groups, communities and institutions - along with friends in other countries - in financial support of people in situations of particular need. The goal is to allow the treasure of community to develop by extending partnerships to help communities help their own most in need.

During this holiday season, I'm looking for support for two purposes:
1. To collaborate locally in 3 situations of financial need: (1) medical treatment for two poor, young cousins; (2) Christmas gifts for children in a daycare in a poor, rural zone; and (3) assistance for the local church in the same zone. (60%)
2. To help cover some of my unexpected extra visa and airfare costs, and help me be here with the local people and offer what I do free of charge. (40%)

I'm thankful for you taking the time to consider us! What are you thankful for? Leave a comment if you make a gift.
