A Way to Help Norman and Soni!!
Donation protected
From friends of Norm:
Norman has impacted so many people over the years, but above all, he has helped
nearly countless people.
His good nature and amazing attitude transcend the difficult, dark place he is in right
now. These attributes define who he is and why so many people think about him and pray for him without ceasing.
Norman found his way into the fire service and it meshed perfectly with his drive to help
others and his community. He started as a volunteer in 1992 with Morehead FD and retired as a career firefighter with Georgetown FD in 2019. It would have been nearly impossible to find a firefighter that wouldn’t miss an opportunity to ride in the jump seat on the engine or truck beside Norm. Often, his positive attitude lifted the spirits of those training with him or making emergency runs around him.
These people that care about Norm are finding it difficult to stand on the sidelines
when they would give a part of themselves to help. It is a feeling of frustration and desperation.
Soni has been an amazing and fierce advocate for Norm and she has sacrificed so much
physically and mentally without wavering.
This effort has been proposed by some of Norman’s friends to help blunt the impact of
some expenses that go unnoticed initially or “fly under the radar”.
During this, almost year-long battle with Pancreatic cancer, the costs of fuel for travel to treatments, lodging, home medical supplies, medical transport, and many necessary expenses not covered by insurance have a cumulative effect.
We see this as a mechanism to help Norm and Soni, and it doesn’t begin to scratch the surface of what we wish we could do.
