A way to love the Benson family

Philip Holmes Benson- husband to Rebekah; father to Petal, Lucius, and Aurelia; son to Douglas; and friend, family, teacher, and leader to many others lost his life to a drunk driver on the afternoon of June 29, 2023.

His death leaves a huge hole in many lives and brings grief and tears. Nonetheless, the Lord Jesus continues to provide peace, comfort, and hope in an unimaginably difficult circumstance. He offers hope not only to see Philip again, but to see the end of death altogether. At the same time, He has been providing daily through so many people reaching out with indescribable love, help, encouragement, and requests to know how to best support Rebekah, the kids, and Douglas. The outpouring of love has been a blessing to her as have all the prayers. This account is set up for those who wish to give financially as a way of showing love and care.

Philip was a man of many talents including (but certainly not limited to): yard maintenance and design, home maintenance, building, cooking, research, hiking/camping, teaching, learning, auto work, and serving others. He managed the Benson property, took care of all the vehicles, was the official grocery shopper and top chef, planned many adventures, ferried the kids to and from school, and could be found perpetually helping others and volunteering. His absence is felt in hearts and also in the day-to-day. He was present and active in the home and desired to take care of his family.

Any money contributed to this fund is intended to be set aside to help the Bensons pay for any maintenance that will need to be done on their home/property in years to come.
