A Way to Support Victoria's Breast Cancer Journey
Donation protected
As most of you are aware my beautiful sister-in-law, Victoria was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This has been the start of an emotional journey for her and for those who love her. The picture above is Victoria's first day at chemo being incredibly brave by herself because of the impacts of Covid right now on the health care system. We plan to support her, Dave and Ben in every way that we can.
As you know part of the side effects of chemotherapy is losing your hair. Victoria has beautiful hair. We want her to have options to buy whatever head covering she wants to help her feel comfortable . Who knew these could be so expensive? It's like learning about a whole new world.
I know that a lot of people want to support Vic and Dave and Ben and this is just one way that is available.
A few of us are planning to cut our own hair in support of Victoria. Joycelyn is going to help us with this and those of us who can, are going to donate our hair to A Child's Voice Foundation which makes custom hair replacements for the Angel Hair for Kids Program.
Please help us fundraise $2000 to give Victoria some choices around wigs, head coverings etc. When asking Victoria to let us help her with this, Victoria insisted that the deal was that any money left over would be donated to a breast cancer charity.
We know that many of you have likely been impacted by this in your own lives.
Victoria is special to our family and we want to do whatever we can to help make this a little bit easier.
We are not broadcasting this on social media, this is a personal request to our family and friends for those who would like to contribute. Because the impacts of chemotherapy happen quite quickly we are hoping to raise this money as soon as we can. We will be cutting our hair in the next week or so!! Stay tuned for pictures.
Sincerely
