A Zim lady at risk of destitution due to blindness
Donation protected
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has donated, shared, and supported my journey during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity have made a huge difference, and I am truly grateful for every contribution.
I deeply appreciate the support I’ve received so far. Every donation has brought me closer to helping me settle back home and receive the medical care I need.
As I approach the final days before my departure, we are making one last push. If you haven’t had the chance to donate yet, now is the time. Every bit counts, and even the smallest contribution can make a big impact. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would also be a great help.
Once again, thank you all for standing with me. Your support has made this journey possible, and we are truly grateful.
SEE MY STORY BELOW
My name is Pamela Mazuva Nwaeze i am a zimbabwean widow starting this go fund me with the hope of getting help from you my fellow brothers and sisters.
After getting my COS in January 2024 . I sold all I had back home i.e household goods , clothes. I had the UK/ America dream just like most people who have come here in search of a better life.
I guess it’s not everybody who makes it abroad. I was determined to also achieve what i could not achieve in Zim as a teacher.
February 2024 I landed in the UK. Started work in March and April my contract was terminated due to poor eyesight.
My eyesight deteriorated very fast between March and May. I was now getting blind. I had an artificial lens in one eye which dislocated as well as a retinal detachment.
All this was discovered by the surgeons from moorfields after being refered by an optician.
I was lucky to get an emergency eye surgery to remove the lens, do laser treatment and then sort out the back of the eye which had a retinal detachment. This was done in June.
I was on a healing period until September.I was given contact lenses . I am now partially blind.
I tried to look for jobs but the eyesight issue keeps coming up.
With sadness I have decided to go back home to Zim. I cant work in care again.
Please have the heart and help me i need to relocate and to have some funds to start from when I get home.I will also be needing medication as I am diaberic and the contact lenses monthly for I use a monthly prescription.
Back home i do not have a house of my own, this being one of the push factors and of course the harsh economic situation in zim.
My brothers and sisters please help me to regain my dignity when I get home .May God bless the hands that give.
Ì had a dream, illness took away my UK dream.I failed to achieve.
