A13 Crash Victim, Richie's funeral

Dear friends, family, parents, colleagues, students, well- wishers; it is with great sadness that I write this about Richard Foday Koroma, known to his friends as Richie. On Thursday 02/02/17 at approximately 9.30am on his way to the University of Greenwich. Richard’s life was snatched through a horrific crash on the A13 involving two trucks and his red Peugeot. He was hit from behind by a Yodel truck and sandwiched between the other lorry involved, crushing his car to bits. Richard was pronounced dead at the scene. The lorry driver is currently facing charges of causing death by dangerous driving.

Richie was full of life, ambitious and had great aspiration of a future he never had the opportunity to meet.

He leaves behind his single mum who is going through immeasurable pain trying to cope with the tragic loss of her only child. Though it is impossible to compensate her for the loss of her gentle and loving son, I plead with you to help her cope with the cost of sending Riche’s body home to Sierra Leone to his final resting place. The loss was so sudden and the financial burden makes it even more gruesome. Please donate what you can so together we can ensure his mum won’t have to worry about the enormous funeral cost for her 23 years old son gone so tragically.
