Violence has been rampant in this city and it has affected a number of the young men who are part of our Found Village community. One of our young men, James, was shot right outside of his house on July 8th. He fought hard for his life, but unfortunately passed away yesterday evening, July 9th. For those of you that knew James, he left a mark on everyone. He was one of the first boys I met at Village and he was full of life and charisma. Please continue to pray that God would sustain his mom and siblings, his friends, and the community of Found Village, who are like family to him, over the difficult days ahead.

We’d love to express our support for his family in a tangible way - to help with funeral costs, missed work, and cost related moves. It won’t take away the pain, but can allow his mother to not worry about this during the most difficult time.

I Corinthians 12:26-27 "If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it."
