We are so thankful for each and every one of you who has helped to support YogaBee and Team during these very difficult times.
But the crisis is not over yet, and with the easing of regulations and the improved weather, our numbers have dropped off to the point where it will not be sustainable to maintain the studio at the current situation for much longer. Since March with the implementation of the online classes, our costs have increased, while numbers and income have steadily decreased. As we enter the fourth month of life during the Corona Pandemic, the future of YogaBee is looking less and less certain. During this same period of time at least two other small Munich yoga studios have closed. Please don’t let this happen to YogaBee too!!
We need your continued support to make it through these difficult times.
Ways you can help:
1. Please keep coming to class. Not only does your class attendance directly support your yoga teacher and local studio, you too will benefit by attending class. When practiced on a regular basis, yoga helps not only to improve your immune system, but also has been proven helpful in increasing psychological and emotional resilience – exactly what is needed at this moment in time. We currently are offering a variety of classes online, in YogaBee and open air (weather permitting). Please check the schedule on our homepage (https://www.yogabee.de/offer/schedule) to see the class location and be sure to sign up in advance on MBO.
2. Tell your friends, family, neighbors, everyone you know about how good you feel after practicing yoga with us – and invite them to join you next time!
3. Bring a friend to class – yoga with friends is even more fun!
4. Purchase a new class card. Bonus 10class cards (12 classes for the price of 10) are available online until Sunday 12 June. Don’t miss out on this great offer!
5. Attend a health insurance course. Benefit from practicing yoga on a regular basis and receive money back from your health insurance provider. New courses starting soon:
· Pre-Natal Yoga starting Tuesday 14 July and Monday 3 August
· Ashtanga Basic Hatha Yoga starting Thursday 23 July and Monday 24 August
· Hatha Yoga starting Sunday16 August
The number of places is limited. Please be sure to sign up in advance. Please visit our homepage for more details. Sign up online with MBO or send us an email to reserve your place. (Online courses are currently being recognized by the health insurance companies until the end of September 2020. )
6. Purchase a gift certificate for a friend, colleague, or a family member… – give the gift of yoga!
7. Book an individual yoga coaching session – what a great time to get some individual help to improve your yoga practice. Sessions are available for one-on-one or small groups. Contact us for more details.
8. Visit our yoga shop – we have a colorful selection of new yoga mats, belts, blocks, practice towels and handmade eye pillows filled with organic lavender.
9. Donate to our crowd funding account - donated funds will help to pay for the studio rental fees and keep the studio afloat during the summer months. Over the past nearly eight years since opening YogaBee in September 2012, summer has always been a low point in the fiscal year. This year in combination with the Corona Pandemic, numbers have reached an all-time low and without support we will have to close our studio.
YogaBee is a local, grassroots studio. We believe that yoga should support us in our personal growth. That yoga is never static - depending on life situation or age, the yoga practice can change. In addition, everyone has their own history and their own unique body which may be reflected in the practice.
At YogaBee we firmly believe that anyone can practice yoga – that yoga is the exploration of the possible. With our undogmatic approach to teaching we try to convey that yoga is open to all and flexibility is not a pre-requiste. It is important to just start where you are.
Through the practice of yoga, the body becomes both more flexible and stronger. We are sincere, not serious, about yoga – and realise that a smile while practicing can be helpful. Join us on mat - we look forward to seeing you there!
