Hello community, as most of you know my little dog Bailey got viciously attacked by four dogs yesterday. He’s just come out of surgery where they found parts of his groin and anus has been detached from the shaking of these beasts. The vet has closed up the wounds internally as best she can but now he’s left with a pocket with nothing in there because of the damage. He’s got drains coming out of him to stop the fluid build up and on painkillers. I’m picking him up at the end of the day and we now have to hope his skin doesn’t die off or it means further surgery. He goes back to the vet in 3 days and then if all ok in 10 days.
My heart is broken for this poor little puppy that didn’t do anything to deserve this other than go out for a walk, which all dogs and owners should be able to do. Just because an irresponsible pet owner decided it would be ok to let two vicious dogs off leash, my dog has paid the price.
Now we are left with huge vet bills that we are finding very difficult to pay for and possibly more down the line. My family is very grateful for the outpouring love we have received from the community and we are asking those who are able to do so help pay the high costs of these bills due to the incident. We understand everyone is struggling with high costs of living and we are grateful for any amount donated❤️❤️
We have reported the dogs/owners to the relevant authorities, but please let this be a reminder to keep your dogs on leash. We would hate for this to happen to another doggy
