Support an REI worker wrongly placed on leave!
Donation protected
We, the workers at REI Durham, filed for a union on April 13 to ensure that we have a voice at the jobs we all love! Unfortunately, the company has not shared our enthusiasm. This past week, Steven, a tenured employee and vocal supporter of our union drive, was placed on administrative leave shortly after participating in an action where we asked management to stop withholding promised benefits to our coworkers.
We are asking for your support to help Steven and his family with his monthly expenses while he is on administrative leave. Your donation will allow him to focus on getting his job back without worrying about financial hardship.
Steven's dedication to our union is a testament to our collective belief that all workers deserve fair wages, safe working conditions, and a say in the policies that affect their lives. He, like the rest of us, loves his job at REI Durham. That's why we came together to unionize -- to make the work we love better! We should not have to fear for our jobs or face retaliation for standing up for our rights.
Please consider donating whatever you can to support Steven. We appreciate any contribution, no matter how small. With your help, we can continue to fight for workers' rights and make a difference in our workplace.
